JICA training program at Hakata Port Container Terminal 2019.02.13

13th of Feb, 2019

14 members of JICA trainees from Asia, Africa and South America region visited Hakata Port International Container Terminal as a site visit tour.

The theme of this program is Port Strategic Management.
After the summarizing the outline of Hakata, we introduced our terminal operation and IT system.
Furthermore, at the site of Island City Container Terminal, we explained about the environmentally-friendly action of our container handling machines and about our Business Continuity Plan in case of natural disasters.

We received many questions such as terminal operations by utilizing IT system and the electric cost of reefer containers and had a lively discussion.

We would like to proactively welcome trainees of visitors from overseas to promote Hakata Port in the future.

On 27th of Nov, 2018. Hakata Port Promotion Seminar was held in Hanoi City.
92 attendees from local shippers, trading companies, logistics company and shipping liners has attended to our seminar.

In Part©f the seminar, we delivered two presentations about Port of Hakata as a Asian Gateway promoting the sharping developing logistics trend and potential of Hakata Port from Port and Airport Bureau of Fukuoka-city and Outline of Hakata Port International Container Terminal introducing the state of art container terminal such as challenges of IT system, Environment and BCP.

In the second part of the seminar, we had a networking party and exchanged many ideas with the attendees from Vietnam and Hakata.

Before starting the networking party, there was a cordial speech from Mr. Phan Tuan Linh, deputy General Director of Port of Hai Phong Joint Stock Company as a special guest.

We would like to actively conduct to promote Hakata and to dedicate all our strength to improve our service to the users.

Concluded MOU on Collaboration of Port Logistics IT System with Port of Hai Phong Joint Stock Company 2018.11.26

On 20th of Nov, 2018, we Fukuoka-city and Hakata Port Terminal Co.,LTD. concluded a MOU(Memorandum of Understanding) with Port of Hai Phong Joint Stock Company regarding the collaboration of Port Logistics IT System.

We have been promoting this IT collaboration with South East Asian Ports and Chinese ports since 2007 for improve the service for the users and it will be the 13th collaboration port, which is the 3rd in South East Asian Ports following Bangkok and Ho Chi Minh.

Once this service starts, it will be possible to trace the container cargo real-time between Hakata Port and Xiamen Port and could contribute to the supply chain of shippers and logistics companies.

From now on, we will discuss the technical details of IT system collaboration with Port of Hai Phong for an early start of this service.

Exhibited at Asia Seamless Logistics Forum 2018 2018.05.25

On 17th and 18th of May, Asia Seamless Logistics Forum 2018 was held at Tokyo Ryutsu Center and many logistics officials have visited the event.

We exhibited a promotion booth of Hakata Port with Port & Harbor Bureau, Fukuoka City.
We promoted about geographic environment, shipping routes service and also demonstrated the Hakata Port logistics IT System HiTS to the visitors to our booth.
Also, in the afternoon of the 2nd day, we made a presentation entitled Introduction of Logistics Improvement Case by Using Hakata Port.

We will great-fully appreciate to all the visitors to the exhibition.

We would like to proactively try to make the port convenience and strive for smooth logistics.

Welcoming Ceremony of WANHAI 205 2018.05.11

On 11th of April, 2018, WANHAI 205 the one of the vessel of JKH service which is operated by Wanhai Lines and Interasia Lines has made the first call at Island City Container Terminal of Hakata Port.

We held a welcoming ceremony with Port & Airport Bureau, Fukuoka City and Geneq Corporation to commemorate the first call of the vessel and presented a gift to Captain Zhou, Shaofeng.

Welcoming Ceremony of Anderson Bridge 2018.05.07

On 29th of April, 2018, Anderson Bridge one of the JVS services vessel of Ocean Network Express Japan, which sails to Vietnam, Taiwan, Korea from Japan, has called Island City Container Terminal of Hakata Port.

We held a welcoming ceremony with Port & Airport Bureau, Fukuoka-city and Hakatakoun Co.,Ltd. to commemorate the first call of the vessel and presented a gift to Captain Eddie M. Vikkeno.

18 JICA trainees from Asia, Africa and South America had a site visit to Hakata Port International Container Terminal on 21st of July.

The theme of the training program was Port Development Project for Port Engineers.

After introducing the overview of Hakata Port Container Terminal, we explained the terminal operation and leading-edge IT system and the approaches of environment-friendly and BCP actions of Hakata Port.

We had a lively discussion regarding the port management.

We would like to proactively continue to welcome trainees or visitors from overseas.

Site visit program of National Defense College of Thailand 2017.03.15

37 delegates from National Defense College of Thailand had visited Hakata Port International Container Terminal in March 15th.
After the presentation of Hakata Port and we had an Q & A and exchanged commemorative gift.
During the site visit of Island City Container Terminal, we introduced our BCP and environmental friendly actions.
From the member, we had many valuable questions and comments regarding the port security and safety.
We would like to proactively welcome visitors from overseas and try to build strong relationship globally.

18 JICA trainees from Asia, Africa and South America had a site visit to Hakata Port International Container Terminal on Feb, 16th.

The Theme of the training program was Strategic Port Administration and Management for Port Managers.
After watching the DVD of Container Terminal, there was a presentation of Hakata Port from Kyushu Regional Development Bureau, MLIT.

In the site visit we introduced our operation and IT system in the control center and introduced our environment friendly and BCP approaches.

In the Q & A session and during the site visit, we had many questions and had a good opinion exchanges.

We would like to continue to work on to international exchange activities such as welcoming trainees from overseas.

Site visit of Indonesian Trainees of JICA project 2016.09.29

Delegation group of Indonesian trainees related to Port Administration came to Hakata Port for a site visit.

In this training program, JICA is conducting an approach to ease the congestion in the port area and simplification of the trading process using IT.

In the meeting room, we presented the IT strategic approaches of Hakata Port Container Terminal and had a meaning-full discussion.

In the site visit of the container terminal, we introduced our environmentally friendly actions and demonstrated the E-RTG.

We would like to continue our relationship between Indonesian ports which the trade volume is expanding.
